I'm working on losing a massive amount of weight and I'm constantly fighting with myself. I love the caramel frappe from McDonald's but it certainly doesn't love me. Even if my husband is out and about, I'll convince him to bring me home a frappe. I've tried searching online for recipes to make them at home (to save money and calories) but it just doesn't taste the same. If you have a tried and true recipe to dupe the McDonald's caramel frappe, please share it! :-)
Why can't McDonald's make this in a healthier way? Oh, I know. It's because healthy isn't exactly in their business model. I heard from someone who used to work at McDonald's that sugar is added to the salads. Now, I don't know if this is exactly true so if anyone knows for a fact, please let me know. If it is true, why would McDonald's do that? Does sugar preserve the salads? I can't think of any positive reason to add sugar to a salad.
Anyway, I had a frappe this morning and I really want another one. I told my husband, my friends, and my family that I will never give up my frappe. If that's the only vice I have, then I'm doing something right. I'm not blaming McDonald's for anything - it's not their fault I'm overweight or anyone else for that matter. No one holds a gun to our heads telling us to eat there. Get off the blame buggy and start taking responsibility for your actions. It's that simple.
It's time for me to get up and do something. I've been sitting in this chair since about 8:00 this morning. I have to get in a walk and we need to eat dinner. If you've got an recipes, please share them so I can give 'em a try.
